What Paul Pogba did after Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool shows how he feels towards Jose Mourinho

Plenty of stories have been published in recent weeks claiming the relationship between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba has reached breaking point.

There have even been suggestions that Pogba could leave Old Trafford in the summer if Mourinho is still in charge of Manchester United.

According to the Independent, United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is fully in Mourinho’s camp and is prepared to sell any player - regardless of their value - if they cross the Portuguese coach.

Pogba has been criticised for his ill-disciplined performances in recent weeks by a host of big-name pundits in the media.

The France international has struggled when deployed in a midfield two and hasn’t fared much better in recent weeks when played in his favoured position, on the left-hand side of a midfield three.

Pogba missed out on today’s huge Premier League clash against Liverpool after suffering an injury in training on Friday and so Mourinho opted for a midfield two comprised of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic.

United, without their most expensive player, ended up producing one of their best performances of the season.

They were 2-0 up at half-time against Jurgen Klopp’s free-scoring side, thanks to a first-half brace from Marcus Rashford, and won the game 2-1 after Eric Bailly’s unfortunate own goal on the 66th minute provided a glimmer of hope for the visitors.

After such an impressive team performance, Pogba might have his work cut out forcing his way back into the starting line-up.

What Pogba did inside the tunnel after the full-time whistle

However, revealing footage has emerged from inside the tunnel which suggests the reports that Pogba and Mourinho are no longer seeing eye-to-eye are spectacularly wide of the mark.

Pogba crept up and interrupted Mourinho’s post-match interview, embracing the Portuguese coach with a handshake.
