2 ABSU Final Year Students Drown Two Days To Their Final Exam In Ebonyi (Photos)

According to reports, two final year students of the Abia State University have died after drowning. The two students, who were said to be buccaneers, drowned on Saturday, during a boat ride, as sailors, in Ebonyi State. They have been identified as Kelechi Elendu and Charles Benjamin Ngozichukwuka of the departments of Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology, respectively. Friends of the deceased have taken to social media pages to show sympathy and pay tribute to their friends who they still can’t believe have passed on. Also, a 12-year-old boy, Samsodeen Adeniran, who went fishing with 4 of his friends drowned in a river on Lisaluwa Street, Ondo State. The boys were said to have gone fishing shortly after a downpour in the area. Anger was growing in Kabul Sunday, a day after a huge bomb hidden in an ambulance killed nearly 100 people and wounded scores more, highlighting the ability of insurgents to strike at the heart of Afghanistan. At least 95 people were killed and 191 wounded in the lunchtime attack claimed by the Taliban, which caused panic in the war-torn capital and overwhelmed its hospitals. Kano visit: Kwankwasiyya alleges plan to attack Kwankwaso

The Kwankwasiyya movement has alleged that three prominent politicians in Kano state have planned to attack its National Leader, Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, former Secretary to Kano State Government, Dr Rabi'u Sulaiman Bichi said that the ploticians include two serving commissioners of rural development and soecial duties, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso and Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas as well as Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbalki Commander. Dr Bichi also accused the Commissioner of Police in the state, Alhaji Rabi'u Yusuf of being partisan in politics by siding with the incompetent governor of the state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Gansuje in discharging his statutory duties as chief law enforcement agent in the state.
