Simi shuts down a fan who tried to compare her to Asa, saying she’s better off

Nigerian singer Simi put up a beautiful display of humility and respect recently in the manner with which she shut down a fan who tried to clack her head together with that of sensational singer Asa and get them to be rivals.

It all played out on Twitter, as a certain fan possibly got swept off by Simi’s new jam, #OneKain. The fan, without taking a moment to reason her thoughts, took to Twitter to declare Simi a better singer than Asa. However, she didn’t make it seem like she was clacking their heads together. But what she did was nothing short of clacking their heads.

But, all thanks to the wise Simi who was able to trash the matter before it became an issue that needed to be resolved. Unlike her previous comments which got fans hating her, Simi stunned everyone with sound judgment this time and the love of fans which had somewhat dwindled, was restored in a moment. On Twitter, the fan wrote;

“This lady has somewhat displaced my Asa from the game oh.” In response, Simi humbly wrote; “Nobody displaces a queen like Asa. Yo! Stop playing. We just get another throne and queen together.” Fans have so loved this response.

Appeal Court orders continuation of Dino Melaye’s recall

The senator had approached the appellate court in a bid to stop the process after an Abuja Federal High Court in September 2017 gave the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the go-ahead to begin Melaye’s recall process. In the latest judgement delivered on Friday, Justice Tunde Awotoye and two other judges ruled that there was no cause for action and the Federal High Court that adjudicated the case ought not to have entertained it in the first place. The Appeal Court held that Mr. Melaye’s claim was ‘hasty, premature and presumptuous,’ Vanguard reports.
