Alvaro Morata's wife Alice Campello posts video of Chelsea star dancing after Antonio Conte says back injury could keep him 'out for the season'
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claimed on Friday that Alvaro Morata may not play again this season due to his niggling back injury.
The former Real Madrid frontman has missed Chelsea's last five games but he appeared in decent shape in a video shared by his wife Alice Campello on Sunday.
Footage posted on Instagram showed Morata and his missus dancing. It is unclear when it was filmed, but that did not stop many fans voicing their disapproval after seeing Morata twirl and then lift his partner, who is pregnant with their first child.
One supporter commented: 'He's supposed to have a bad back!!!!'
Another wrote: 'He should play instead of dancing.'
Chelsea — who host West Brom on Monday night — have struggled in Morata's absence, losing three of their last five games since he was involved.
Prior to his latest spell on the sidelines, the 25-year-old had netted 10 goals in 20 Premier League appearances.
Conte stopped well short of categorically ruling Morata out for the remainder of the campaign when he spoke to the media on Friday, but he was clearly very concerned.
He said: 'We talk a lot about bad results, but we are facing a serious situation, with players like Morata who are important, that are missing for a long time.
'He has this problem, we are trying to find a solution to solve the pain in his back.
'You ask me how long he is out, maybe he needs one day, one month, or is out for the season, I don't know. I am a bit worried as we know the importance of the player.'
